Plot :Ranbir Kapoor is all set to sport a turban in his upcoming venture with Yash Raj Films. The versatile actor will be playing the role of Rocket Singh in the movie currently titled - 'Rocket Singh - Salesman of the Year'. The movie is being directed by Shimit Amin and written by Jaideep Sahni, the talent and promising pair responsible for 'Chak De India's' resounding success across box offices in India. The movie was about a girls' hockey team making it big at the World Cup and recieved critical acclaim by the media.

Rocket Singh is about an enterprising and clever salesman living in the current world scenario of recession and a slowing Indian economy. Sources have revealed that Jaideep Sahni plans to take a humourous take on an otherwise serious subject - recession, which has claimed millions of jobs and a few hundreds lives across the world.

Yash Raj Films, though not very successful in releasing movies that create big bucks at the box office can sure be applauded for initiating creative story lines in their movies with stylish characterisation. We saw it in 'Kabul Express', 'Dhoom', 'Tashan' and now Rocket Singh. Ranbir's new look has already attracted a lot of healthy media attention, giving the film free publicity well in advance. Careerwise, the role is quite crucial of Ranbir Kapoor's onscreen success because this film will decide his future projects with Yash Raj Films - a big name in the world of Indian Cinema. The role will also help take off the chocolate boy image as Ranbir has only been playing amateur roles in his previous films.
