Plot
: “Karzzz” is a patched up entertainer having a predictable story. Himesh
Reshmiyaan looks improved as an actor and inputs of entertainments has been
forced into the movie. The attraction of the film is the script that doesn’t
allow you to sit down for a moment and the script is different from the movies
that are getting released in the last few months. Low scope is there for the
supporting casts and songs are hearable but badly choreographed.Himesh cannot be
Rishi Kapoor and he did the role in his own way instead of copying Rishi’s
style. (Sharukh copied Dilip Kumar’s style in “Devdas” remake) Himesh impresses
for his own way of acting.The story starts with the death of young man Ravi
Verma (played by Dino Moreo) ,who is killed by his fiancée Kamini , hired by
villain Sarjuda because Ravi owns a palace located in Cape Town that will be
overtaken by Kamini and Sarjuda. Kamini kills Ravi on the way to his villa after
marriage where his sister and mother are preparing for his homecoming and the
story is basically about reincarnation of Ravi Verma.Ravi takes birth as Monty,
the musician who performs on stage and is famous with youngsters .In his next
birth Monty gives stage shows organized by his fosters father and the role of
foster parents is played by Raj Babbar and Himani Shivpuri. He meets Tina, a
beautiful young girl and he falls in love with her. Tina is adopted by Kabir
Chacha and she lives close to the palace that belonged to Ravi Verma.Once while
performing on stage Monty dreams of his past birth and he tries to search for
the palace that comes in his dream .He informs his friend about his dreams and
about his love interest with Tina (role played by Sweta Kumar who is daughter of
movie maker Inder Kumar and she is least notable in the role. ) Monty searches
for Tina and he reaches the previous birth place and meets Kamini played by
Urmila Matongakar. Urmila portrayal of Kamini is imposing although her costumes
and makeup is made funny.Himesh is not a known dancer but the choreography of a
dance can be done without impressive lead dancers (You see “Pappu can’t dance”
song). The songs are the attraction of the film that has not been choreographed
well. Locations are beautiful, even confusing how in Cape Tone, reincarnation
happens. The palace is beautiful. The lip color used by Urmila is significantly
shown and can be justified because she is trying to play an elderly woman who
still tries to look young and uses youngster’s colors. The climax actions are
wonderful and shoot location, special effects are impressive.Sweta was not at
all good in the movie. Raj Babbar shouldn’t play a sardar in films. Nobody can
act like Pran but Danny was ok in Kabir Chacha‘s role and worst was Rohini
Hattangady’s mom role, who don’t match her fun loving mom image on screen. The
chemistry between elderly Urmila with a young boy Monty is better than Monty’s
chemistry with Tina. The film will get Himesh’s fans, who already loved the
music album of the film. |
